Cans of Hope

Welcome to GGCFD 2018! Over 3,000 volunteers are out collecting over 170,000 cans throughout the DC area. Our drive contributes to 75+ food banks and charitable organizations so they can feed the hungry and homeless in our communities. Your participation is making a huge difference, helping us support even more people in need.

If we missed your bag, check the contact information on your orange flier to arrange for a pick up over the next few days. For additional comments,  scroll down, click Contact Us and we will respond to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for putting your faith into action to serve your neighbors and Happy Holidays!

It’s not just about the food

For more than 30 years, schools and communities from the Archdiocese of Washington have come together to help those in need. Each December, families from across the region collect canned goods from friends and neighbors as part of the annual Greg Gannon Canned Food Drive. What started as a labor of love has grown to more than 15 communities having donated nearly 2 million food items to the hungry.
